Before Gaetano, there was Mariano.

The Mariano is named for the great-grandfather — the name that came first, before there was a brand, before there was a story worth telling. Single-breasted, peaked lapel, essential. The suit that doesn't announce itself. The suit that's already in the room when everyone else is still arriving.

Cut from 100% Merino wool. Two-button single-breasted jacket with peaked lapel. Single-pleated trousers with relaxed drape. Full canvas construction. Built by our master tailor on the Lower East Side, made to your measurements.

Every room. Every occasion. The Mariano just shows up — and that's enough.

"I wore it to the meeting where we closed our Series A. I'm not saying the suit closed the deal. But I showed up like it was already done."

— Brendan T. · The Mariano

The Process

01 — Consultation
We meet. You tell us how you move through the world. We help you find the right silhouette — and discuss what this suit needs to do for you.

02 — Measurements & Fabric Selection
Full measurements taken. We walk you through the cloth — Italian mills, held to the same standard as Savile Row.

03 — Production
Our master tailor cuts and builds the suit by hand on the Lower East Side — full canvas construction, fitted to your measurements and no one else's.

04 — Fitting & Finishing
You come in. The suit is assessed on your body, not a form. Adjustments are made until nothing remains to change. This is where the work becomes visible.

05 — Yours
A suit made for no one else. Timeline: 4–8 weeks from first consultation to final fitting.

Fits true to size

Dry clean only. Do not machine wash, tumble dry, or press an iron directly onto the canvas or lapel roll — full canvas tailoring should only be cleaned by a dry cleaner experienced with hand-tailored garments.

Cut from 100% Italian Merino wool, milled to the same standard as Savile Row cloth. Full canvas construction — a floating, hand-padstitched interior canvas, never fused or glued to the shell — so nothing to bubble, crack, or peel with wear or with cleaning.

Between wearings: brush with a soft garment brush to lift dust and lint, hang on a broad, curved wooden hanger to hold the shoulder line, and let the suit rest at least 24 hours between wears so the canvas can recover its shape. Store away from direct sunlight and humidity.

I wore it to the meeting where we closed our Series A. I’m not saying the suit closed the deal. But I showed up like it was already done.

Questions, Answered

4–8 weeks, start to finish. Full canvas construction is hand-built — nothing leaves the shop before it's right.

The interior canvas floats free inside the jacket, hand-padstitched rather than fused or glued to the shell. It molds to you over time and won't bubble, crack, or peel.

Yes. Every Gaetano, Eterno, and Mariano begins with a consultation — measurements taken by hand, fabric chosen together. Book your consultation and we'll take it from there.
